Preston Eugene Young born in Los Angeles California, April 18, 1953.

I began playing percussion at the age of eight years old.  My mentor was Preston Eugene Epps Bongo player along with big black and Papa Dee.  My first paying gig was at the age of 12 years old.  I played with H.B. Barnum, Dee Bradley, Eve Evans, Billy Preston, La Rita Shelby, Brad Bobo, Funk Masters Bobby Brown, Chosen, Douglas Gibbs and many more.  Concert’s Idyllwild jazz concert, San Diego jazz concert, San Diego winter jazz concert, Palm Spring Jazz Concert., St. Andrews Park Music Festival just to name a few.
